This antique wood is much harder and dryer than virgin wood, attributes that lend to its strength and longevity, which keeps it from warping and twisting with age. Process
Exceptional Craftsmanship
Our process begins with salvaged wood that is milled into ¼” veneers. These veneers are then laminated to a plywood substrate. From there, we give the edges a locking miter profile, to ensure that all sides interlock smoothly, before assembling it with a high-quality, water-resistant wood glue. This process results in a seamless beam that appears solid on the outside, yet is completely hollow inside.
